Iniesta said after extending the contract with Barcelona
The Barcelona captain, Andres Iniesta, insists his relationship with the club remains good, although his contract renewal talks are running pretty tough.
Iniesta finally renewed his contract in Barcelona with a lifetime extension. But before reaching an agreement, there is a lot of talk between the two parties.
Iniesta even rumored to be leaving from Barcelona. Juventus called the club the next goal of the 33-year-old midfielder.
“There’s no problem between me and the club, it’s purely because something must be as natural as possible, you have to talk from the bottom and we just did it and stay positive,” said Iniesta as reported by Soccerway.
“If the agreement came earlier, I can not be sure, but here’s the result,” Iniesta added.
Iniesta is the original product of Barcelona’s academy, La Masia. He joined the academy in 1996 and climbed his career from below.
Total, Iniesta has won 30 trophies with Barcelona. Four of them are Champions League trophies.
